We as the body of Christ can never stagnate and therefore equipping ourselves is vital to ensure that we are personally in a space to serve others. The ICM Volunteers are from the different churches we take hands with and we are very thankful for this.
It is however imperative that each of us embarks on the journey to our own healing as this is a hard ministry.
Volunteers are also encouraged to attend the different courses at their churches where they are from to ensure further equipping themselves.
It is expected of volunteers to submit under the authority of a local Church and in the process attend the equipping courses presented at their church.
Ephesians 4:11-13 “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.”
We then provide a platform where Churches can send their equipped members to put what they’ve learned into practice.
Ephesians 4:16 “He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”

We work with people (adults and children) who find themselves in addiction, abuse, physical and spiritual poverty and neglect.
We, therefore, network with organizations and other NPO’s who provide equipping courses in these particular areas, the aim is to ensure that all volunteers are always equipped to deal with any situation and know-how and where to refer to, when necessary.
Overcomers Through Christ (OTC) is a Compulsory course for all Volunteers. It is presented over a Spirit-filled weekend in Honeydew and deals with the personal inside-out clean-out of the individual’s life, providing tools for personal use and for utilizing within the ministry.
Other courses, promoting Individual growth in Christ, are also presented at Fisherman's Village.
